Ventura Harbor Public Launch Ramp Renovation Project

Alternate Launching Information

The Public Launch Ramp will be closed for renovation after 50 years beginning first week in January 2014 – June 2014.

Kayaks, standup paddle boarders, and other human powered craft are encouraged to launch and recover their vessels at Harbor Cove across from the National Park Service Visitors Center. Hoopnetters may obtain a parking permit from the Harbor Patrol that will allow them to park on Spinnaker Drive between the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

A negative forklift will be made available to launch and haul trailered boats up to an OVERALL LENGTH OF 30’ through the Ventura Harbor Marina and Yacht Yard located at 1644 Anchors Way Drive.
Overall length, beam and weight restrictions apply.

Regular hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday 8:30 am to noon.
During regular hours of operation, please call 805-642-6755 or 805-407-7994 or go into their office to schedule a haul or launch.

If you wish to schedule a haul or launch during their extended hours of 5:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, ADVANCE NOTIFICATION AND ARRANGEMENT MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 24 HOURS AHEAD OF TIME.

Although the Ventura Port District is making every effort to accommodate the boating community, all boaters can expect some inconvenience and delays during periods of high volume launching/hauling activity.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
