Celebrate National Park Week with us
Published May 1, 2023

Love national parks? There’s a holiday for that & it's happening right now! Ventura Harbor is fortunate to be both a launching point to the beautiful Channel Islands National Park and also the home of the Channel Islands National Park (CINP) Visitor Center!
Junior Ranger Day
CINP is hosting Junior Ranger Day this Saturday, April 29, from 1pm to 4pm at the Visitor Center! Festivities are FREE for children and families. Drop in to explore the park and earn a sticker, pin, or badge at 1901 Spinnaker Dr. Ventura, CA.
Plus, here are 5 ways you can celebrate anytime as the center is free and open daily:

Watch the complimentary “Treasure in the Sea” movie in the visitor center theater that showcases the history, the flora, and fauna of these five spectacular islands, narrated by actor Kevin Costner.

Browse the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center gift & bookstore – so many great finds that are both educational and entertaining!

Explore the Visitor Center exhibits and see the tidal tank with live creatures swimming about! So much to SEA & learn.

View topo maps of each of the islands, watch live streaming footage from the islands, and talk to knowledgeable docents & Park Rangers!

Explore the native garden out front and visit the viewing tower up above that overlooks the Ventura Harbor marinas, beaches, & the Channel Islands National Park in the distance on a clear day.
