The Ventura Art & Chalk Festival returns to Ventura Harbor Village for a colorful weekend of live chalk art, local artists, shopping, music and family-friendly activities along the waterfront.

Explore the full festival stretching from Andria’s Seafood to Island Packers, where more than 30 chalk artists and 50 art and artisan vendors will line the harbor. Take a leisurely waterfront stroll, watch large-scale chalk murals come to life, meet the artists and discover something new around every corner.

Watch Chalk Art Come to Life

See artists sketch, blend and layer colorful chalk as they transform the pavement into elaborate works of art throughout the weekend. The 2026 festival features a variety of styles, including artist duos and 3D chalk artists.

Featured artist and Rotary Club of Ventura member Greg Wray, known for his work on Sonic the Hedgehog, will create a special Sonic-themed chalk scene live during the festival.

Art & Crafts Marketplace

Browse over 50 art and artisan vendors offering original artwork and handcrafted finds, from paintings and ceramics to photography, glasswork, wearable art and more. Families can also enjoy hands-on and interactive art activities for younger festivalgoers.

Live Music

Invite friends & family to bask in the sunshine, listen to great musicians along the waterfront and dine on the patios.

The creativity continues inside the Village shops and galleries. Visit the brand-new Buenaventura Art Center, Golden Hour Goods, Harbor Village Gallery & Gifts, Mermaid Gallery and Ventura Pottery Gallery for even more local art and one-of-a-kind finds.

At Buenaventura Art Center, Saturday brings a full lineup of artist-led experiences, including a free pastel talk + demo, hands-on glass mosaic coaster workshop, and watercolor class. Meanwhile, Ventura Pottery Gallery’s 7th annual Marvelous Mug Marketplace takes place all weekend, featuring a special collection of handcrafted mugs and ceramics.

Give yourself time to see it all. The festival stretches along the waterfront from Andria’s Seafood to Island Packers, creating a relaxed walking experience with chalk art, vendors, live music, galleries, restaurants and harbor views along the way.

Parking

Parking is available throughout Ventura Harbor Village, with convenient options close to the festival.

Village Parking Lots: $1 per hour, up to 4 hours, or $10 for the day.

Free Parking Areas: The Dolphin Lot at Safe Harbor Ventura Isle, plus designated free parking spaces along Spinnaker Drive, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Park at either end and enjoy a leisurely waterfront stroll through the festival, stretching from Andria’s Seafood to Island Packers.

The Ventura Art & Chalk Festival is presented by the Rotary Club of Ventura. 100% of funds raised support community service projects in Ventura, continuing the organization’s tradition of bringing art and community together for a good cause.
