Summer whale watching season brings some of the ocean’s largest visitors to the nutrient-rich waters of the Santa Barbara Channel, where Blue Whales, Humpback Whales, and Fin Whales gather to feed. Along the way, keep an eye out for playful dolphins, sea lions, seals, and a variety of seabirds. More than 28 species of whales and dolphins have been documented within the waters of the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
