Love national parks? There’s a holiday for that! National Park Week is happening April 22 to April 30 this year. Ventura Harbor is fortunate to be both a launching point to the beautiful Channel Islands National Park and also the home of the Channel Islands National Park (CINP) Visitor Center!

Here are two ways to celebrate National Park Week at our seaside destination:

1. Stop by the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center for Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1-4 pm! Festivities are FREE for children and families. Drop in to explore the park and earn a sticker, pin, or badge. The CINP Visitor Center is located at the end of Spinnaker Drive in Ventura Harbor – 1901 Spinnaker Drive Ventura, CA 93001. 2. Head out to the islands via catamaran with Island Packers, who offers convenient daily departures from Ventura Harbor Village. Island Packers Cruises is the official boat concessionaire for the Channel Islands National Park. They offer year round transportation to the “local islands” Santa Cruz and Anacapa, as well as trips to the “outer islands”, Santa Rosa, San Miguel and Santa Barbara, from March through November. Island Packers Cruises also offer trips that get close to the Channel Islands without going ashore and they are designed for you to view the abundant wildlife.
