California Coastal Clean Up 2018

Volunteers doing their part in participating in a coastal clean up, picking up any debris and trash to conserve the beauty in California beaches

Join us on Coastal Cleanup Day to help clean your local beach! Meet in front of Channel Islands National Park at 1901 Spinnaker Drive in Ventura. The event is BYOB (bring your own bucket and gloves) in an effort to reduce waste.

Make sure you go to Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center to witness the special unveiling of the artwork and winning entries from this year’s California Coastal Art & Poetry Contest! They will be on display at the Channel Islands National Park Robert J. Lagomarsino Visitor Center from Saturday, September 15, 2018 through Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Ventura kindergartener, Serenity Rayne Holmes, received an honorable mention for her watercolor of two whales titled “Father.” Marina Zellers, a high school senior from Lompoc received an honorable mention for her illustration titled “Crowded.”
