A Message to Our Visitors Regarding COVID-19

To our valued guests & customers,

We are excited to offer our community an outdoor, open air, public space to spend time and enjoy seaside amenities at a safe distance. Parking lots, restrooms, restaurants, retail shops, services and activities at Ventura Harbor Village are OPEN for visitors with safety measures in place. We asked that you please be mindful and follow our Top 10 Tips to  Seaside Safely on your visit. There are also ways to engage with the harbor virtually online. The sea is a healing place and we will get through this together. Ventura Harbor appreciates your continued support of locally-owned and operated businesses as we navigate these uncharted waters together.

MASKS – We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in following state & county mandates to wear a face covering. Masks are required to enter each and every business in Ventura Harbor Village. They are also required outdoors when social distancing is not possible. Need a new mask or forgot yours to visit? Click here for a listing of Harbor businesses where you can pick one up.

DINING AND RETAIL – Restaurants offer takeout and outdoor patio dining options. Click here for a listing of restaurants & markets. Click here for a listing of shops. We ask that visitors confirm in advance hours of operations directly with Harbor businesses, services, and markets (as these may change daily). Kindly call ahead to place orders, keep 6ft distance from others at all times to secure the safety of everyone. The Seaside Takeout Zone is on the Main Lawn in which you can bring chairs, a blanket, and/or towel to enjoy your takeout food overlooking the boats in the marina.

BOATING – Boaters have access to the Ventura Harbor public launch ramp with new guidelines and protocols in place. Click here for launch ramp rules. Boat rentals with Ventura Boat Rentals, including kayak, stand-up paddle boards, peddle boats, boats, and electric boat rentals are open as per County allowance as is on water stand up paddle board yoga and fitness classes. Ventura Sportfishing is back open for deep sea fishing trips. Island Packers has resumed limited transportation service to the Channel Islands . BEACHES – City of Ventura beaches, including Ventura Harbor beaches, are now open for passive use, such as sitting and sunbathing as long as the public maintains a safe physical distance of six feet and avoids congregating in large groups outside of their immediate household. Group activities such as volleyball, football, soccer, and other contact sports are not allowed. Click here for more information on beaches per the City of Ventura.

SUPPORT LOCAL – Purchasing a gift card, curbside pickup, shopping online, and booking travel in advance are other ways in which the local community can support small business for shopping, dining, entertainment, and overnight stays in the Ventura Harbor in the future. STAY CONNECTED – We invite you to stay connected to the sea, Ventura Harbor businesses, and the Channel Islands National Park from the comfort of your home. We miss having our customers and guests seaside and want to continue to share ways to stay in touch. Click here for ways to connect virtually.

VENTURA HARBOR ADMINISTRATION – Ventura Port District closed administrative offices to the public Thursday, March 19, as a precautionary measure to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Staff is still available by phone/email. Click here to read the admin update from General Manager, Brian Pendleton.

SANITATION & SAFETY– Outdoor surfaces and restrooms continue to be regularly sanitized with increased frequency. Individual shops, restaurants, and activities have their own safety plans in place per compliance with Ventura County Health Department. We encourage all visitors and harbor residents to follow social distancing protocol, wear face coverings, and continue practice of safe hygiene. If you are sick, please save your visit to the Ventura Harbor until you are well. At Ventura Harbor Village your health, safety, and well being remains our top priority. As COVID-19 continues to impact our community and daily lives, we want to assure you that we are taking action on a daily basis to protect and support our customers and employees. Please do your part to Seaside Safely while visiting Ventura Harbor Village as well. We are closely monitoring the guidance of the County of Ventura Emergency Information and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the spread of the virus.
