Through the Lens of a Local Photographer
Guest blog by photographer Dan Harding:
My wife and I have walked the Ventura Harbor area since the 60’s. Back then it was nothing but a plot of land with a road to the harbor mouth. Things have changed!
With the exception of early morning fresh sea food, chocolate and ice cream, it’s relatively quiet at Ventura Harbor Village on weekday mornings. But if you need to connect with the ocean while social distancing and exercising, you might do your inner self some good here. The subjects for photo creativity are numerous as well.
Today I started by looking for subjects I thought would look good as black and whites.
Some of the work horse commercial boats beckoned me.
This is the peak of bloom for the harbor flora along the Village waterfront Promenade.
Several businesses are working hard to serve you with creative signage like Top This Chocolate.
Some can’t wait to open and beckon you in like Lemon & Lei. I look forward to returning to many creative businesses. Lemon & Lei smells so good!
